Tamarins road
Achievement : Tamarins road, Réunion Island
Details of construction site
- The Tamarins road, on Reunion Island, is a dual carriage way being built through the mountains to open up the RN1, a very dangerous coast road passing between the Indian Ocean and the mountains. The restraint systems were manufactured by Roadis companies, the GALVA UNION Group’s Road Safety equipment branch. This equipment was galvanized to protect it from corrosion in extreme conditions (heat, humidity and proximity to the ocean). A certain number of elements were also treated with DECOZINC powder coating to comply with the architectural requirement to stress out these exceptionnal structures within the island’s landscape.
- Construction: SLER & ROADIS LPC
